porcelain veneers turlock caPorcelain veneers are a strong and beautiful addition to a healthy smile. Individually crafted to cover chipped, cracked or stained teeth, veneers can be placed in 2 short dental visits.

No 2 sets of teeth look alike, nor should they. A smile is as individual as the person who wears it. But, what if your smile has a chipped tooth or teeth gaps? Your Turlock cosmetic dentist, Dr. Ramsin L. Davoud, can recreate your smile so no one will know those defects were there.

Turlock Porcelain Veneers: Brighten, Smooth & Fill Out The Look Of Your Teeth.

One of the modern dental services Dr. Davoud makes available is porcelain veneers. Thin shells of beautifully strong and biocompatible porcelain, veneers cover the front side of one or more teeth that need a little cosmetic help because of:

  • staining from cigarettes or highly colored foods and drinks
  • small chips or cracks
  • dull or yellowed enamel due to aging
  • minor overlapping, crowding or a misaligned bite
  • gaps and unevenness in tooth shape and size

What happens during a veneer procedure?

Dr. Davoud will help you decide if dental veneers are the correct choice for you. In other words, what are your cosmetic goals, and can veneers achieve them?

Dr. Davoud will examine your teeth and do some other imaging to understand all that is going on with your teeth. People with a lot of cavities and restorations or with serious gum disease are not good candidates for porcelain veneers.

With a decision made to go ahead, Dr. Davoud will gently remove a thin amount of enamel (½ mm) from the front side of each tooth to be covered. Also, he will take dental impressions to be sent to a lab with his instructions on how to craft your veneers. Careful attention is paid to shape, color and size. In a subsequent appointment, the veneers are bonded on the teeth and are further shaped to create the most natural appearance possible.

Life With Your New Veneers.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry states that porcelain veneers should be cared in the same way as your other teeth. Brush them with a soft brush and fluoride toothpaste twice a day, and floss, too. Keep routine dental exam and cleaning appointments.
